Friday I went to the local drag strip. Capitol Raceway in Crofton Maryland. A fun few hours to be had for only $20. For that $20 I was able to get in 5 runs in about 2.5 hrs. I didn’t stay all night simply because I kept getting worse and worse.
First and best run:
R/T: .493
60′: 2.420
330: 6.642
1/8: 10.120
mph: 71.01
1000: 13.082
1/4: 15.589
MPH: 90.70
Every run after that I was slower and slower. But my bud with his Scion TC was getting faster and faster. Would this be a good example of heat soak in the intercooler?
I launched with my foot on the brake and rpms @ 2500k. Car in Manual mode and I floored it to redline (let the car shift). Anyone think I can improve this @ all without changing my equipment?

Well yesterday I figured I’d take a go and get under the car again. I checked over all the bolts of my rattling Magnaflow exhaust. The darn thing would rattle and sound like total crap while @ idle and at 2k or less rpm.
Well after checking the bolts leading from the CAT to the midpipe and then to the rear mufflers all was good there. But then I looked at my rear tips, they are crooked and look horrible. Looking at the rear mufflers inner hangers were not touching. So I removed the bushings that were supposed to touch. They were rubbing and were causing the tips to not sit centered. After the bushing were removed alot of ratting and body rumble was removed. And that annoying low rpm and idle sound was gone. Hooray!!
One problem remains:
Well 2 problems, both I think I can live with now.
1. The tips sit a tad high. Just digging into my Aero kit skirt a bit I was so beat after being under the car. I think I can fix this by adjusting the 2 remaining hangers a bit.
2. There is still some rattling but this may be that darn resonator. But now the exhaust rattles so much less its 100% more barable . Don’t get me wrong I bought the Magnaflow to be loud but the rattling drove me nuts and made my car sound like a ricey Honda.

To order go to this NAM thread.
Oh and orders are being taken till only Sept 5th.
They come in MC and MCS. I’m sure if he feels like it he could make up a MCC/MCSC version as well.
I paid and ordered mine.

On Monday I called Magnaflow about the resonator in my exhaust making all kinds of weird sounds. Sounds like bees buzzing in the bee hive. I called Magnaflow because I know my bud and I got it in right and because I read this thread on NAM where other owners had the same problem.
Magnaflow being the great company they are said no problem and is sending me a new resonator. They said it would take about a week to arrive. I’m ok with this as long as it does get here and because its totally free. haha.
The sound is getting very annoying. It has some passengers asking “WTH?”. And then I have to explain as I fly through corners and talk calmly as they grab for the door handle
