This past Saturday while my car was on the Dyno the manager of the shop said something interesting to me.
“You have black specs coming out your exhaust and it smells like eggs. Your Cat isn’t going to last like that. You really need to get a high flow CAT”
Is there anything to this? My car has smelled a little odd since then when its warm.
Well it was fun and the car is super loud sitting strapped to the Dyno.
A group of guys from EastCoastEuro setup a Dyno Day @ FCCT of $70 for 3 pulls. I couldn’t resist a chance to take my car and run her.
Long story short…the MCSa is a pain to Dyno. The car wants to downshift when you hit the kickdown point and its hard to push it to the redline. All of this even with the car in Manual mode. So they shifted manually to 4th and then slowly rolled onto the throttle. This seems to do the trick. But as you see on the first run the hp was great but the lb went wild because the car shifted.
Video coming soon! A few guys that were there shot a nice video of my car on the Dyno. My car is so damn loud!
Here are the hp and lb:

So if I read the charts right by best is 170hp and 154lb right?
Some nice shots of the car on the Dyno:

A MB E55 AMG with mods came by (power was almost 400hp and over 500lb. I do not have a copy of the exact #s):
